Starland Lounge Lanes - Athens

We went in expecting to enjoy some pizza on June 3, 2023, but were surprised to find that they didn't have any food available yet. We were quite puzzled since there were numerous reviews mentioning pizza, but it turned out to be just a bar for the time being. We're unsure when the food will actually be offered.

I came across this very clean place through a Yelp post, hoping to grab some pizza. The friendly lady behind the bar let me know that they no longer serve pizza. It was tough to stay disappointed for long, though, thanks to their fantastic selection of beer and whiskey. I was still hungry, but the bar was really nice!

I visited last week and found it to be a great place. There's a bowling alley and an additional bar upstairs, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The bartenders are exceptional!

No food is served here as of 02/11/2023. It's no longer a pizza place.Duckpin bowling is a great concept with a lot of potential. The staff that was there were great and the drinks were well done. Excellent gin gimlet.They just need to hire more people upstairs. There was one bartender upstairs that was also in charge of the bowling lanes, which often require some quick maintenance. But between making drinks, getting people set up on the lanes, and troubleshooting the pin setup, it's just too much for one person to handle. They need a dedicated bowling employee in addition to the bartender. I would have ordered a few more drinks if there was a second employee upstairs.
