Bidra med feedbackI 'm baffled that this place doesn 't have 5 stars. I 've been going here for years and I can say without reservation that Fortune Cookie has some of the best Chinese food (This kind of Chinese food most Americans are familiar with) in Atlanta. I 've tried many items on the menu and have NEVER been disappointed. My favorite dish is their Mongolian Beef. It 's the best I 've ever had in my entire life. So delicious! Their hot and sour soup is also the best I 've ever had anywhere. Lastly, you HAVE to try their hot mustard sauce. I think they must make it fresh in-house because it is the most incredible hot mustard I 've had anywhere..ever. Half the reason I got here is for the hot mustard sauce. It 'll clear out those sinuses instantly. The one negative thing I 'll add, just for the sake of honestly, is that the dining room can get a bit noisy when the restaurant is busy. But it 's worth it.
Solid American Chinese food, great service. Consistent and reliable, been eating here over 10 years
Great place for lunch with fast service and great specials including soup, rice and spring roll. The food was all good with some of the best crunchies for the soup and a nice selection of sauces provided for the spring rolls. Our server had lots of personality making little jokes during refills and while bringing food. Overall great and fun.
The restaurant owner an Asian lady that works the front, is very very arrogant, rude and down right cold and unapproachable. Today I went in to order takeout and had questions about the spice level of the Kong Pao chicken dinner and could it be less spicy… she didn’t want to answer basic questions, I asked what it comes with ? hesitant to answer, just very short and very irritated that I had questions, I asked can I get vegetable fried rice.. no it come with white rice or you can have egg fried rice. … note while saying all this she’s walking away and giving no eye contact. she really wanted me to leave her demeanor and short answer was clear. Then I just ordered shrimp and lobster sauce at this point I knew not to ask any additional questions, she wouldn’t even tell me how long would the wait be. Note the menu leaves many questions ,, no ingredient details on any dishes” I will never support this restaurant again” I’ve been a delivery driver for this restaurant a few times before purchasing from them today and they clearly discriminate against ethnic groups of drivers… Black drivers are asked to confirm an order before they put it in the driver hand and your told “I need to see it on your phone” however when white delivery drivers come in to pickup they ask for name and code# and they thank them , and the driver is on their way. Customers stay away from the restaurant until the owner is polite and kind they provide good customer service, and everyone is treated equally regardless of your race See the photo attached there’s no egg in the fried rice.
I went based on a recommendation several months ago and haven't ordered Chinese from anywhere else since. I usually get the hot and sour soup, either veggie dumplings or veggie spring rolls, and the Bean Curd Home Style (tofu and lots of veggies). The hot and sour soup, dumplings, and spring rolls are fantastic; the tofu-with-veg main course is solid. My only complaint is that even when I ask for spicy, I end up adding a lot of extra red pepper at home. But that's pretty much any Americanized Chinese place.
