Ray's New York Pizza - Atlanta

This is the best pizza I've ever had in Georgia. I used to visit the original Ray's in the Village in NYC back in the early 80s, and aside from the extra grease that would run down my hands, the Atlanta location tastes just as I remember it. Every New Jersey/New York person I've recommended this place to agrees. And don't miss out on the Greek salad—it's delicious too! I absolutely love this place.

Came to midtown over the weekend for a staycation with my 2 kids. I never knew this place was walking distance from the hotel. We went and was seated quickly. The food was good, my only complaint was the veggies on my pizza could have been cut intosmaller pieces. The kids enjoyed their food as well. We ended up coming back the next night and ordered a large cheese pizza andwings to go. They also have a full bar.

The pizza and bread bites were decent, but the sauce was quite different from what I'm used to—definitely not New York-style pizza (I really miss New York!). However, the Lemon Pepper Wings and fries were fantastic; I highly recommend ordering those! I usually tip based on the level of service I receive. The gratuity of $16 was automatically added to the $70 bill, so just be aware of that. I consider myself reasonable, but I didn’t even order any alcohol. I can understand why the waitress made sure to keep the drinks filled. Overall, thanks Ray's Pizza! #PaidAfterwards
