Bidra med feedbackI'm not from India, but the food here appears to be quite good. I needed to head to the airport and asked the young man for a variety of dishes. It brought back memories of my time in Nepal nine years ago. The cuisine in this region is certainly unique.
The taste of India is a walk-in café in the Peachtree Center Mall, located from the lower level of the CVS. The service is fast and friendly and the food is fresh. My menu is the chicken plate which is served with rice, two chickens of your choice, and a piece of naan. The chicken 65 has grown quickly to be served one of my favorite chicken entrees there. The food is served in reusable, portioned plastic containers with snap closures. That might sound like a little detail, but it makes a big difference. It prevents the whole sauce from spilling anywhere while you carry your intake to your destination.
You have fast service. Was a few times here, some of their articles are really good, chicken-biryani was good, but vegetable-biryani was not good at all, it looks just like pure yellowish red rice, but hardly a taste or vegetables. Curries are great, chicken 65 is very dry.
AVOID. Nice people, but the food is cruel. Hard, dense Pita bread, not naan. I have a bite of everything I got, then I threw it in the garbage. I'm sorry the owners of this food are terrible.
The food here is pretty good; I actually enjoy it. It's not the best I've had, but it has a nice flavor. However, my main issue is the price. They charge $12 per plate, and you only get 2 or 3 scoops of rice along with just half a scoop of the other dish. The portion sizes are really small, and when you ask for more, they seem annoyed. If you dine here, you’ll likely still feel hungry afterward. I've visited three times in the hope that things would improve, but they never have, so I don't plan on returning. At that price, I could have bought lunch and dessert somewhere else.
