Hanami Sushi - Auburn

This is probably the best sushi I've ever had in my life. The OMG roll and Yummy roll are completely piled on with toppings. The Golden Gate is a super good deep fried California roll. Their Lincoln Way is the best baked salmon roll there is. I try a baked salmon roll at every sushi place I go to, and I have never found one better than Hanami.

This is ALWAYS a favorite!! Hanami Sushi has authentic Japanese food, my husband lived in Japan for two years and this is his closest taste to Japan. We’ve been going here for 11 years… that says a lot!! Some out our kids moved to Southern California and STILL everyone they come to visit Northern California they have to stop at Hanami Sushi!!

Dietary restrictions: Willing to work with celiac. But many different opinions on vinegar used, not sure if it has gluten.

I was in Auburn today and was craving suishi. Today is May 7th. Always see my receipt for validity.Although they had some great lunch specials, i opted to have the spicy tuna roll. My friend had the crab and avocado roll. Tuna was good and i always ask for extra wasabi! Their rice in the suishi roll was so tender..i dont know how to describe it but it made the rolls even better!They have beer and wine and sake. indoor and outdoor seating plus more seating upstairs. IN retrospect we should have ordered the lunch specials..good deals!Its a small unpretentious place located in a really cute area of town. The suishi staff was quick and friendly. I would say the waitress was a bit distracted by a friend that came in but she still did a good job.Overall..great location..great menu! Definitely will be back!
