Bidra med feedbackFire and flips, sizzle and spice; Daikoku is a visual feast. We were celebrating a 21st birthday, and what a great idea to have the dinner here. Everyone from Grandad, to the sulky teens, to the two year old twins in high chairs was transfixed with the Teppanyaki. The chef was brilliant. He was jaw droppingly skilled and a pretty cheeky dude too. Nana took a real liking to him, which created a few amusing moments. You are fed SO much food, and as it comes out bit by bit it feels like you're eating for hours. It was delicious too; the steak in particular was cooked to perfection. It was packed that night and the atmosphere loud and fun. I would recommend Daikoku if you're after something a little different from your usual sit down meal.
Wonderful Teppanyaki. Went there for my wife's birthday and had a super evening. The food was really great and well cooked. The wine and the service was super. A perfect night for the family.
I came here for my birthday lunch with my mother and sister, they chose to go here. For $13.80 we got soup, salad, a choice of one main (I got chicken), vegetables, rice and ice cream. AMAZING deal if you ask me. It was so fun watching the cooks prepare everything in front of you teppanyaki style. The only negative I experienced on my visit were that I wanted more! The portions weren't big but for the price that it was for all that you got it was a good deal overall. Also, most people don't eat as much as I do.
Went here for dinner, there was a friendly staff who assisted us. Delicious lasagna! Will probably try the Portofino in Devonport as they have the Zomato gold 1+1 on food
Portofino in Takapuna is literally my childhood restaurant, we came here every single week. The owners are the loveliest people ever and the food is so so good and makes you feel so cosy. I love going back here as it reminds me of my childhood. 100% recommend :
