Il Tartufo - Augsburg

Very long waiting time, very bad quality food. The pizza was hardly edible : soggy dough, poor quality cheese... The fish was probably just some cheap frozen stuff bought in bulk and it took them 3/4h to bring us drinks and 1,5 h to bring the food!

I was there yesterday: Kalbschnitzel mit Zitronensoße, excellent! The restaurant is nice, the food is good, the price/quality relationship is excellent, but unfortunately they don't have many customers. Why? They are hidden with an entrance in a court yard that looks like a private area. But next to it is a nice hotel as well: the Hotel am Rathaus. So what i recommend: stay at the hotel (nice rooms, nice breakfast), and eat at the Il Tartufo. I don't have any commercial interest in both places but I speak from experience because my mother lives on the third floor above the restaurant. So I always stay at the hotel (unless it's full) and often enjoy the restaurant.

In this Italian restaurant, some dishes have been adapted probably to German tastes, but the pizza had a good paste and it was very well cooked. The personnel were very kind and professional. Price for pizza 2 beers: about 13 euros. In conclusion, a very high quality-to-price ratio.

We've been waiting for dinner for 1 1/2 hours. Very stressed unfriendly staff (especially the lady). They all seemed totally overwhelmed. Dirty tablecloths were not changed. Once and never again!!!!!!

In addition to the great food of the daily menu, a magnificent Chardonnay and an unforgettable Grappa, this restaurant is a great friendliness to small guests who are not always quiet and sometimes fluff around.
