Whipper's Pizza - Augusta

Loved it stopped by here for quick lunch today. Due to covid-19 seating inside is very limited. Mask must be worn. As soon as you enter the menus will be on the wall. It 's wall menu style allows you to see their entire selection of food items. For the beverages you will find them in the refrigerator 's, all drinks are bottled currently. Immediately when I entered the building I was greeted by the lady at the register, she was more than ready to take my order I was in the mood for a sub so I went with their italian (ham and salami) style sub. The wait was very short. My sub was available within 10 minutes even with a line out the door. Here you can find fast and friendly service. My sub turned out great and may stop by again if I am in the area. Thanks whippers for the delicious sub, I hope to try something else on your menu. This place is a busy little pizza shop. While we waited for our pie, we must have seen 20 people come and go. The pizza has a ton of cheese. If I had to guess, I think there's some provolone mixed in. Sauce is good. Crust is good. I'd go back.

Growing up in the Sidney/Augusta area, Whippers was always a treat and so was their sibling store, Damon's (which I preferred). However, growing up I have a new go-to. Whippers has continued to provide excellent food. I don't live in the area, but when I visit I try to get a Big Whip to go and share with my co-workers. They're always amazed by the size of the Big Whip, with it's massive bread choice. Whippers has continued with their excellent service and comparable prices. One of the best sub shops around.

Fantastic sandwiches! Absolutely AMAZING! Sure, the pizza is delicious, but I just can't resist their subs. Augusta is fortunate to have some incredible sub shops (shoutout to the Maine Legislature for that!), but this one is definitely one of my top two favorites. You won't be let down. With their hearty bread and generous fillings, plus quick and friendly service, this place is a must-visit!
