Wallace Barbecue Restaurant - Austell

I was disappointed that BBQ is not the same as it used to be. And do not go near closing time... all the servers are in a hurry to get out the door.

A place to stop in if you like a southern country atmosphere and good BBQ.

Brunswick stew changed it is not the same don't like it

The place and people are great but.. the food is heavy in vinegar and lacks other seasonings. The coleslaw was not the creamy kind but more sweet and vinegar kind (just a fair warning for those that don't like the vinegar based one). The Brunswick stew was a good mixture for a stew. The chili that was on the chili dog was just ground meat. The burgers, fries, hot wings (weren't hot), and fried chicken were good. I am sure for those that love vinegar based bbq this place is amazing but of the other people it's a bit much. Our waitress was super nice got sat quickly during a dinner high traffic time. Food was pretty quick to come out as well.

I ordered at the take-out counter and the ladies there weren't very pleasant. In fact, borderline unfriendly. I was surprised they put the sauce on the barbecue pork I ordered. I felt it was nice of them to replace it with sauce on the side. I tried ordering some Texas toast and potato salad. Neither one was available. I got onion rings instead, they were very good. They didn't make it home
