Bidra med feedbackY'all ever answer your phone or nah?Had dinner there last night, price is what is expected in that part of Austin, plates starting at $15 and go up- two tacos of really good size for the mains, and the three mini taco portions is still good, and the taste was fantastic. Queso was kind of mid and after mixing everything in was on the brink of being cold and was reminiscent of Chili's queso which for the price it is wasn't worth it. It was reasonably busy last night and tables filled up while we were there, the waitresses definitely seemed overwhelmed running back and forth, and never offered refills and forgot to bring them when asked.Service wise not worth it to visit, food makes up for it. I would suggest just getting it to go but you'll never be able to get someone on the phone to order anything.
The tacos are from my experience over hyped. Mine were both cold. The tortilla was about 4 by 3 but the meat on both was a not quite a tablespoon (yes I measured bc I was so shocked). The youngan who took my order was super pleasant and patient as I was asking about the 3 different tacos I was considering. I got two and paid $19 not including the tip (though not standard for pickup orders, he was pleasant and young, and lately all industries are asking for tips anyway : . It was for carry out so I can't speak for the inside dining experience, but I noticed it was quiet and nicely decorated, while I was ordering/picking up.
Really too expensive, like everything in the vicinity. But, the food was really good and the portions sizes were generous. I wouldn’t have eaten here if I didn’t have the hotel credit but I did enjoy my meals. If you are less budget conscious then you probably won’t think twice but it’s pretty expensive. $14 for 3 pancakes and some fruit, $4 for juice or coffee, it’s just a little much.
I was visiting Austin for a conference at the Convention Center and decided to have lunch here today. I went in at noon. It was not as busy when I came.My waitress took my order, and never came back to check on me after she left to check on another customer who was banging on the table because of the lack of service he received.I watched several tables come in after me, get their food, and leave. I had to ask someone who was cleaning another table about my food. When I finally got it, again, the waitress (female with the ponytail) never came back. I watched her continuously provide great customer service to all of the other tables, smiling and all. Someone finally brought my order. Then, I had to hound her to get my check. Again, I had to hound her to take my card. Her service was AWFUL. She is the first waitress that I did not tip for as long as I can remember. If you CANNOT treat people as equals, you should not work in the restaurant or hospitality industry. I've never experienced such poor quality of service in my life. I finally felt like she was intentionally ignoring me. Work on your character ma'am. How you treat people is a reflection of YOU!Dietary restrictions: Vegan
Service not great (apart from the bartender who rescued everybody waiting for a seat and sat them at his bar to feed them breakfast. Props to him), but the tacos were pretty tasty, and it was handy for the convention centre so was not averse to going there twice.
