Lima Criolla - Austin

I had an amazing dining experience at the Peruvian restaurant. The ceviche was fresh and packed with flavor, while the aji de gallina struck the perfect balance between spice and creaminess. The arroz chaufa was a wonderful mix of textures and aromas. The dessert was the highlight of the meal—the alfajores and suspiro limeño were an absolutely delightful ending. The service was impeccable, making for an authentic culinary journey! Denise was fantastic!

Great authentic Peruvian cuisine, and it’s conveniently located near other exciting places like AFS. Definitely worth a visit, especially since there aren't many Peruvian options in Austin!

Lima Criolla originally opened while I was living in Austin several years ago. At that time, it was a quiet spot, but the food was excellent and the service was top-notch. Now, it’s always bustling with activity, and rightly so. The food remains delicious at reasonable prices, the service is still great, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

The restaurant was clean and spacious although we were sat close to the bar where it seemed we were sitting next to where the service sat.(plenty of convos we didn't need to hear). We ordered the mixture ceviche with Jalea, and causa limeño. The ceviche was fresh and the causa was very good, but the jalea, was extremely salty. Almost like someone had made a mistake in the recipe. An ok experience.

Absolutely everything we had was amazing. Very much recommend the mixto ceviche and the lomo saltado .. we were stuffed otherwise we would have tried more, will be going back again for sure!
