Nik's Italian Kitchen - Austin

Enjoyed a family Christmas party at Niks with some of my favorite people. I only snapped a picture of the Wedge which was delightful.. I had pasta with veggies and red sauce. The server was quick to accommodate my craving. Love the owners and their family. A return visit is in my future for sure!

Great place for some food. Everything that was ordered was more than delicious. Jalapeno Lime Chicken, 5 layer lasagna, Vodka parmesan, and Prime Rib Sandwich. I believe the guy was new to the staff but was still really friendly. He put a bit too much of red wine vinegar in the olive oil dip for the bread. The place is small so expect some excitement when a game is on. Overall very great italian cuisine.

Fantastic overall experience!. I 've been to Nik 's several times and I must say I totally love the place. It has a neighborhood feel and style to it. The hostesses are by the far the cutest in town and they always open the door for you and greet you with a smile! The waiters and waitresses are very professional and extremely friendly they go out of their way to ensure accuracy of your order and ease of understanding of their options. Not to mention the girls that wait on you are pretty cute and young who doesn 't like that ??!! <br/ <br/ The food is delicious try the Chicken Rigatoni dish or one of their flat breads they seem to have specials that alternate everyday so you can always get a good deal. I hear they have even started serving game time food such as ribs, nachos, burgers, cheese fries you name it! What 's better than having those kind of options for whatever you are in the mood far. <br/ <br/ And speaking of the bar, there seems to be a loyal fan club there I would certainly say there are a few regulars that I have seen each time I have went there and that definitely gives it a 'Cheers! ' like atmosphere. One big guy there is particularly amusing and if you stick around long enough he will buy you champagne! The bartenders are very knowledge and very good they are stretched a bit thin at times due to the volume of traffic in the bar but they bust their butts to get you great drinks, food and service. Ask for that British sounding young fellow he has a very welcoming and warm disposition. <br/ <br/ Lastly I 've seen the owners in their a few times they pay very close attention to food quality, operations, wait times, and overall service. They go out of their way to meet and greet you and I 've seen them make a few noticeable changes to adjust to their Texas clientele. They seem to have expanded their patio and provided a very cool looking cover for the summer and heaters for the winter and the game is always on outside too! <br/ <br/ All in all, I will be going back to Nik 's and I hope that my review helps you also decide to give it a try.

Great New Italian Restaurant in Austin. Wonderfully fresh; delicious; the salmon was especially outstanding.

Happy diners said, “Grazie!” as they jammed into the bar and dining room, quaffing Texas and Italian beers, chianti and pinot grigio.
