Sushi Zushi of the Domain - Austin

Visited this location on March at around I traveled to this location from hours away since a good friend had highly recommended it and wanted to have a nice birthday dinner. Upon arrival, we were quickly seated in our area of choice and a server quickly greeted us and took our drinkappetizer we had the pork and veggie gyozas and they were delicious order. After of waiting, our server had not come back to bring us the appetizer or take our order, so I went inside to inquire on her whereabouts and after more minutes she finally came to take our order and deliver the appetizer. She did not apologize or seem empathetic at all so we just paid our tab and left. Although the restaurant was nearly empty we were the only ones in the patio, and all but a few people were inside seated at the bar, the ambiance seemed like it would’ve been nice, and I’m terribly sad I didn’t get to have a taste of their food

My family and I have been going to Sushi Zushi for many years as it is consistently outstanding. But today the service was disappointing. The server took our order, brought food, and then forgot about us. A relative had to get up and go to the bar to ask for a beer. Water glasses were left unfilled, empty plates crowded the table and when the server finally dropped by she did practically nothing. The restaurant had very few people and the woman had no other tables. I think this was likely an exception, but I was surprised at the poor service

Our server was super nice and helpful. The chicken fried rice was my favorite thing! Service was quick and food was great. Wasn’t too busy and great place for date night

Sushi Zushi always holds a great standard, but what really made this experience amazing was our waiter Paul. He was extremely accommodating to myself and my girlfriend for this valentines dinner. He made great recommendations, and truly made our dinner incredible. Paul definitely deserve a reward for his service. The sushi chefs were wonderful in terms of the quality of food. Everything was perfect
