Rating: 4.5/5. - **Baby Iceberg Wedge ($9):** While this dish isn’t anything extraordinary, the large pieces of bacon and cornbread crumbs on top add a fun twist. Rating: 3/5. **Mains:** - **Georges Bank Scallops ($42):** Served with sweet potatoes, Asian pears, and a sweet potato and leek butter. This dish offers a unique take on scallops that I really enjoyed! Rating: 3.25/5. - **Marfa Meats N.Y. Strip ($46):** Accompanied by potatoes, broccolini, and a rich bordelaise sauce made with red wine and bone marrow. This deep, flavorful sauce complements the tender beef beautifully. Rating: 4/5. **Desserts:** - **Chocolate on Chocolate ($9):** This dessert features a dense dark chocolate flavor with a delightful light crunch inside and a hint of sweet raspberry. Rating: 4/5. - **Espresso Chocolate Tart ($9):** If you’re in the mood for something coffee-flavored, this tart is a solid choice, though I wished it had a slightly softer texture. Rating: 3.25/5. **Beverages:** - **Suntory’s 6 ($13):** A gin cocktail with raspberry that offers bright, bitter, and sweet notes. Rating: 3.5/5. - **The French Mule ($12):** A vodka cocktail mixed with lime, infused with hints of bubbly and a refreshing sour taste. Rating: 3.5/5. The three-course meal is a no-brainer, as ordering these dishes a la carte would cost $129 compared to just $90 for the meal. If you live nearby, it’s a great spot for a date or to celebrate a special occasion like graduation. While I preferred some dishes over others, everything was well done overall. I’d rate my experience at The Carillon a solid 3.5/5!
Wow, that might be the best meal I've ever had! The staff was amazing and went the extra mile, even having flowers on our table for my birthday. The food was outstanding! The culinary team deserves so much recognition—if you're thinking about going but haven't decided yet, just do it! You won't regret it. From the cheese and meat board to the Hamachi starter, and then the NY Strip and Texas lamb… I could rave about it for days! Hats off to this incredible team! I'll be dreaming about this meal forever!
The sausage and cheese spread was diverse, fresh, and truly delicious. The selection of marmalades, cheeses, cold cuts, crackers, dried figs, and gherkins created a wonderful mix of flavors and textures. The wedge salad, carpaccio, and pork belly were all well-executed and flavorful. As for the main courses, the NY strip steaks were pristine and cooked to a perfect medium-rare. The desserts were equally stunning and delicious. I heard that the chef previously worked at Uchi, which certainly explains the high quality of the food. This is definitely a must-visit place that I will likely return to often. I apologize for the incomplete photos of the dishes—I guess we were too excited about heading to the concert! Thank you, and great job!
Excellent food and service! Anyway, I'd come back to Austin to eat here again.
What a lovely restaurant! The food was amazing. Our server, Caleb, did an outstanding job. It was my daughter's birthday and they brought flowers to our table and let us keep them. It was a perfect dinner.
