The Farmhouse - Avondale

My father and I found this restaurant on Yelp! Chris and Nina truly made our lunch and visit unforgettable! The atmosphere and food were great! Moreover, they went over and above their call of duty. They truly understand hospitality! You made my father so very happy. God Bless

I love this place. Elegant without being snotty and the food is amazing. They have Blanton's bourbon which is rare. I go anytime am am close by and dressed appropriately to visit.

We got the cheesesteak. It comes with french fries or sweet potato fries. They were out of sweet potato fries so we got the regular french fries. The Cheesesteak had a certain charm to it. Kind of like your lovable but creepy, smelly but maybe he is the good smelling uncle that drinks beer at your champagne brunch. The roll was pretty standard. I think they melted the cheese onto the roll. The good news is the roll got a little toasty. The meat and fried onions for your standard greasy spoon meat fried onions. The onions spent a long time on the grill. In a different setting they would have added a whole lot of flavor to the meat. This cheesesteak was mostly out of place.

First Time for Dinner, and the Prime Rib was just right, raw and warm.. Service was excellent and such a pretty room we were in, you can sit outside or in the Bar or in the main room, overlooking the golf course. We will be trying Fish Night on some Wednesday Night..

First time at the Farmhouse lovely and comfortable decor) for 4 of us and we enjoyed it very much with kudos to the Chef for a 5 star meal yes, the crab cakes were the best ever as was the lamb and fish) but the menu was confusing in that it appeared to all of us that everything was a la carte when our entrees were served with a salad and sides. Would have been nice and saved us the $30 we paid for sides) if our waitress, or the menu, would have mentioned what accompanied the meal. But none the less the food and decor was so nice that we will be back.....maybe next time at the Greathouse which seems to have the same menu.
