After a few years, let's try the Cliffhanger's Grill. I had been here several times for the other restaurant, the Summit, open only at dinner. At the Cliffhanger 's there is the possibility to eat outdoors, in front of a well-kept lawn and with the mountains as background (Punta Piure e il Corno Bussola, Monte della Nonna). So, among the best restaurants in Champoluc, he is the only one who has this benefit. In the other best you eat inside or on the road... Eat very well. Plates in which you recognize the hand of the chef. Always present from the opening of the hotel. The egg in shirt with potato foam, caviar, and chives, was missing only of a crispy part, for the rest it was unexceptionable. Fantastic macaroons with pharaoh ragout, lime, tabasco and coriander. These last three ingredients, which normalize do not imagine together with a spiderout, well dosed, they felt here and there and, when they felt, it was a pleasure. The Profitteroles with raspberries with yuzu sauce was good, fresh and of valuable invoice. Congratulations to pastry chefs, who have always given great satisfaction here. Good service too. Allegro, safe and, once in a while, no one at first sight. The fact that I have little staff I find that it is one of the greatest problems of modern catering, as well as at prices, which, in many cases, already before this period of inflation, traveled senselessly. Pizza baby nothing special € 20,00. Very fusion cuisine and a lot of philosophy, but it does not feed and has a high price. Unconsigliato per palato italiano, let's leave it to foreigners.
The most surprised thing about this restaurant is the huge amount of dishes you can choose. At lunch many delicious dishes from pizza to sandwich to salad but you can also request dishes from the menu to paper. At dinner it was difficult to choose, fortunately they recommended me well and I was very satisfied both of the mountain egg in a potato snail with fromadzo and curcuma that of the risotto to the robiola to the 3 Latti, tasty as I like. Sweets as well as perfect to see have left that right memory to want to go back absolutely. We will definitely see you in August.
