The Jolly Miller Cafe - Bacchus Marsh

Have eaten here many times both in the store delivery. A little on the expensive side, but always delicious fresh food with an excellent selection of options available!

My vego partner popped in here to pick up a takeaway tart. I didn’t even bother looking in the sweet cabinet at first because I was sure they wouldn’t have anything vegan...but I was wrong! They had 4 different vegan and gluten free cakes and a jar of cookies on the counter. I chose a pistachio and orange cake that was delicious and moist with a nut-mealy texture. I was surprised to see they also have a vegan section on their menu with lunch and brunch options I’d go back for if I was in the area. They seem to be a small chain with a number or suburban and rural branches. Updated from previous review on 2021-06-12

Great service, clearly marked vegan section on the menu and good selection of vegan cakes at the counter. Highly recommend

It is nice to visit a cafe with a vegan menu that isn’t just a salad. As well as about 8 vegan food options, there is a hot chocolate, smoothies, and a biscoff milkshake. I ordered the cauliflower steak topped with mushroom. It looked nice and the cauliflower was cooked well but it did just taste like the vegetables on offer. My partner had the green fritters and I thought they were tastier. The coffee was nice. Lots of tables inside.

The prices were somewhat high, but the food was of good quality and the portions were generous.
