Bidra med feedbackWonderful venue the food was very high standard most enjoyable very impressed with the service the young lady that served us both X and English which was very helpful when trying to understand the menu.Although I do have one criticism the information on the restaurant says open Open till 10 PM we tried to order a desert at 9:31 and were told that the restaurant was now closed so unable to order a desert after spending €100 on a meal. The average is purely down to the fact we were unable to order a desert
This restaurant was recommended by a local citizen and he was right.I ordered the recommended steak from young german bulls but the, very friendly, waitress came to say that the cook was not happy with the quality of the meat and advised me to make another choice. This illustrates the high standard of quality they serve! The food and the wine were absolutely fine.
We had a lunch here. It is a pleasant place with a medium service. We ate chicken, drank beer, water and soda. It is a cheap restaurant. We were four people and spent € 47,00.
The restaurant is located opposite Hacker's Hotel. The service is very good. The menu is only in German but the waiter make a point to explain to us using all the visual gesture that he could. He even made the oink oink sound to indicate the dish is a pork. The food is so far the best in Bad Ems. I had hawaiian chicken...Highly recommended!
Restaurant Estragon is the restaurant, under separate management, at the hotel Bad Emserhof and is prettily located on the Lahn river. The solid furnishings fit the gutbürgerliche Küche as presented on the reasonably priced menu. So far so good, and that would have been fine if it ended there. But the restaurant has pretenses - what with the delicate ham and melon amuse geule decoratively served.Pretenses that did not fit well with the three young airheads waiting tables, who spent most of the evening loudly giggling at the bar. One of them brought me the wrong main course - lamb shank instead of rack of lamb. I was too hungry to take up the offer to have it changed (30 minute wait) and she later did apologise profusely for her recognised mistake. She also ensured me that I would be charged only for the shank, not for the rack (3 euro difference) :-). Well, that was certainly big of them.The most disturbing element throughout was the music. Where the name, the decor and the menu would, at its worst, have lead you to expect French musette music or Viennese salon standards, we were treated to German covers of mostly American rock classics that would have felt right in 'Bert's Biker Bar' but were completely out of place in this attempt at refinement.
