Bidra med feedbackReservation was needed. Location is in the middle of the city center. I liked the tables and seating area inside the restaurant. The tables outside are located in front of the restaurant (pedastrian zone). Food is ok, sausages are the favorite dishes of the restaurant,...and I recommend to stay with them. Any other food I tried (Spinatknoedel, etc will make you sated, but it isn't really a joy to eat them. Beers are nice ones. Service is friendly, they look after their guests. Value for money is ok. Overall: It is one of the ok places for eating in Bad Kissingen. But reg. food quality there is clearly a focus on tourists, who will come only once or twice.
We had the sausages with potatosalad. Sausages were fine; didn't like the potatosalad. But the best part was this young waitress who kept smiling all the time..no matter how busy she was. Very good service.
Small, very cosy restaurant with lots of locals and decent food. Very friendly staff. In the guest room you feel like a time machine has taken you or rather years back. Würstchen are great. So was our duck. Only aspect on the negative...side: the soup "Klare Brühe mit Griessklöschen was far too salty.
We visited this traditional restaurant tonight, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service was very friendly, including a brief chat with the chef (and/or owner The dishes we had were full of flavour, especially the Schweinebraten mit Rotkraut und Knödel (roast pork with red cabbage...and dumpling). The meat was so tender, it melted in your mouth. It appears that amongst the patrons were a number of locals as well which is always a good sign. Very enjoyable indeed ... we would go back any time.
I was an US Army Officer in the Squadron Armored Cavalry Regiment stationed in BK in the early I visited the Bratwurst Glockle weekly if not more often. Local beer on tap, great food in a beautiful restaurant. We always went to...the floor I returned with my son last year. You can go back. Great food and also wine. The local food is hardy but delicious. I was overjoyed to return with my son Pat Berrigan, Jr. Great place, great memories.
