Miyoshi Japanese - Bakersfield

Favorite sushi place in town. I like that it doesn't have those loud, annoying teppanyaki grills. I'm more of a sushi purist, I don't go out for sushi to eat terriyaki chicken. This place has some pretty interesting, but fairly Americanized rolls. I'm a big fan of their seaweed salad and hamachi sashimi. If left to my own devices I think I could eat a pound of hamachi sashimi it is that delicious.

Great fresh food!. All the food they serve appears to be very fresh! I love their cucumber salad and haven't ordered a roll I did not like. Presentation is nice, and it is reasonably priced!

This is by far the best sushi place in town. The employees are always very nice and helpful. The chefs are talented. We eat here as often as we can because the food is incredible.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such tasty sushi in Bako. Reasonably priced, great service, yummy sushi.

Miyoshi's is a great sushi restaurant. I have yet to get a roll that has been below decent. If you want some more variety, try its sister restaurant, Tokyo Garden, which has teppanyaki grills as well as the same sushi menu as Miyoshi's. Good service, good atmosphere, great food. Like Veronica said, I recommend the Yellow Submarine. The dragon ball and spicy tuna handroll are also very good.
