El Palenque - Bald Knob

Such good food; it's a shame the service didn't live up to the hype.

We live on West Plains, MO. where there are 3 Mexican restaurants and El Palenque beats them all. We had to go to Little Rock and we stopped here to eat on our way home. This is a great place to eat. The food was great. Quick service. Plenty to eat. Took leftovers home.

Still not the Mexican food we had in Texas. Enchiladas had a sweet sauce similar to a BBQ sauce...however, the enchiladas with cheese sauce were amazing. Still no breakfast tacos tho.

I ordered chili relleno, which usually would be a poblano pepper stuffed with cheese with minced meat and some cheese. This thing was drowning in cheese and it was a 1/4 of a *bell pepper*, the meat was flavorless. It didn’t even have no dang salt and pepper. No seasonings, nothing, cardboard flavored cheese. If bland is your thing, this will be your favorite.

Place was delicious doesn't look like much outside but the food is on point.
