Northern Rivers Seafoods - Ballina

Incredibly busy, however the food is well worth the wait. Staff are friendly and patient. Huge variety of fresh fish, prawns and other items. Well worth a visit.

Although our sizable Tropical Snapper was reasonably priced, I felt somewhat rushed by the staff when it came to making our selection. This was my second visit to this seafood market in Ballina, and I had the same rushed feeling both times. There was also a busy takeaway area for cooked fish and chips at Northern Rivers Seafood, which contributed to the crowding.

The seafood here is outstanding and incredibly fresh. The prawns are top-notch. If you're in Ballina and looking for quality seafood, this is the place to go. They often have exceptional Pacific oysters as well, along with a great variety of seafood overall. It can get quite busy, but that's just a testament to a great fishmonger. I highly recommend it!

Best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Staff were knowledgeable and patient with my questions about where and how the fish was caught. I'm looking forward to cooking some fresh seafood too. Local prawns looked especially good.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Absolutely delicious cooked seafood. The best chips, calamari we have ever had! Fresh! So well cooked. The staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back.
