Mt. Washington Tavern - Baltimore

Initially, I was hesitant about dining here, but I'm glad I did because my meal was superb. I ordered the Rockfish, which was rich, flavorful, and expertly prepared. I sat at an outdoor table on the second floor, where the service was excellent, and the portion sizes were generous, accompanied by delicious drinks. I really enjoyed the atmosphere on the second floor; it felt cozy and inviting. I would definitely eat here again. The neighborhood is also quite peaceful.

It's been a while since I visited, and I was pleasantly surprised. My friend and I stopped by on a Saturday night for some food and drinks at the main bar downstairs. We shared the spicy mussels, which were outstanding—I would happily come back just for those. I ordered the steak sandwich, and it was quite delicious. My friend also enjoyed his fried oyster tacos. I've visited this restaurant many times, and this is my first review. I've never had a bad experience; the food is consistently excellent, and the staff is always attentive and polite. My go-to dishes are the Tavern burger, onion rings, and crab cakes. The Maryland crab soup is fantastic as well—though it could use an Old Bay shaker, it's still great as is. I'm not sure if oysters are available all the time, but they had them on my latest visit, and they were outstanding. The picture of the potatoes shows what they call hash browns. We had the chance to eat with some friends on Sunday night. Food was pretty good. The place was pretty empty. The service was a little slow and we saw only 1 waitress. At the time there were 4 -5 tables in our area being waited on. We had our meal on the roof top it was really nice. I had the meatloaf and it was delicious . I added a pic below. We will go back.

We had a small gathering at this restaurant, but our experience was disappointing. There were too many staff members involved in serving our meal, which led to some confusion. They ended up forgetting our order of crab cakes, which is supposed to be one of their specialties. After waiting fifty minutes, the crab cakes finally arrived, but by then everyone else had already finished their meals. The food itself was just okay, but the service felt very disorganized.
