Bidra med feedbackWonderful service and great food. Was impressed by the hospitality and should compliment the chef who presented authentic Nepali cuisine. Buffet lunch is a must try!!! My favorite place to eat in Baltimore!!!!
The food is exceptionally delicious very reasonably priced! The delivery person is always so kind smiling, too. There is NO delivery fee so I have more to order more food leave a nice tip. I moved here from NYC this place has taken over as my absolute favorite Indian/Himalayan/Nepalese restaurant ever. I just can't say enough about how great Nepal House is!!!
We went to Nepal House for dinner before heading to a play at the local community theater. Overall, Nepal House started our evening off on a great note. The food was tasty, the service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was perfect for socializing with friends. We will definitely be returning soon!
We always visit this restaurant when we are in the Baltimore area or passing through. It is a clean place with Nepali decor and the owner and staff are fantastic. The food is also delicious. We used to love their buffet, but unfortunately it is not being offered right now due to Covid, which is disappointing. Overall, we have no complaints except for one suggestion: the "Thakali thali" does not taste authentic Nepali. The only good item in the plate was the greens. Both the vegetable curry and chicken curry tasted like they were made with Indian spices and flavors. We were disappointed to find that the vegetable curry was made with frozen mixed vegetables, including carrots and corn. Despite this, we still enjoy eating here and find the food to be excellent. However, the Thakali thali does not live up to Nepali standards for the price we pay. We could have easily ordered an Indian chicken dish instead. We hope that the restaurant will make changes to improve the Thakali thali in the future.
One of the best value Indian lunch buffet options Attentive, fair patient service, lower cost 13$ a person for weekday lunch for a decent variety of entree options before adding the fact the weekday buffet includes masala chai, 2 dessert options and basic fruits, soup and 3 types of bread including the typical buffet complimentary naan . Saag dish was brighter/lighter color green and tasted good, either using more cream or cooking the spinach for a shorter time to let the flavor shine through. Masala chai has sweet/unsweet options tastes just as good as some coffee shop’s, the creaminess sweetness helping cut/complement the strong spiced tea flavor for 1st time masala chai drinkers. Only caveats are some dishes. All of the sauces/entrees have good seasonings. Unlike any other Indian buffets,’ the gulab jamun here tasted like it wasn’t freshly made inside color was darker compared to the light yellow white color other places’ has, had less of the desired creamy/cheesy flavor, and was overly saturated with the sweet syrup which was a shame. Overall, I’d come back to this place to try the new buffet dishes other reviews suggest. If you don’t feel like sitting down for the tea service, you can still stop by pick out food from the weekday buffet to fill a small lunchbox for 15$. Great for tasting a wider variety of Indian dishes with a smaller but quality staff.
