Ahearn's Country Cafe - Bangor

I don't know when it was thoroughly cleaned this last time. Spinning weaves are everywhere, all chachki on the walls have tons of dust and dirt on them. The bathroom is located in the dishwasher zone AND there were NO HOT WATER in the only bathroom. I turned on the hot water and nothing came out. Only the cold water worked. I was actually afraid of eating there after I saw all this. It's a shame because it could be a nice place, but it needs TONS of work.

I can't believe that review I've been going to the Ahearns Café for six years and the café is very clean and country feeling. GREAT PEOPLE,GREAT FOOD! The PRIME RIB ON FRIDAY NIGHT is for!!!!!!! now about the dog I think the owners penny phil have a few pets upstairs. all in all GREAT PLACE....

An online menu would greatly benefit their business; I wanted to order takeout, but there wasn't a menu available online. They really should provide one! I can see both sides of the argument to some extent. The food was excellent, just as it should be at a restaurant. I don't think there were any dogs in the kitchen, and the person who wrote that must not have a clue. I seriously doubt anyone with common sense would leave a dog in a professional kitchen. As for hair nets, I have worked as a line cook for three years, and we were required to wear hats. The writer was right about the gloves too; I noticed the cook wasn’t wearing any while I was there. I hope he washes his hands regularly. That said, I didn’t get sick from the food, so there was no contamination on my plate, which was great.

I have never encountered such a dirty establishment. The bathroom is absolutely deplorable, and the staff doesn't wear hairnets or gloves. While waiting for my food, I overheard workers using profanity within earshot. I also believe I heard a dog in the kitchen. Is there no longer an inspector for health and safety?

What an amazing pizza for just $7.00!! We ordered two slices and couldn't believe how fantastic the pizza is here in Martins Creek!! It's about time we had a place like this! We're officially back to having Pizza Night once a week!!
