Barboursville Vineyards

Wonderful experience! The meat and cheese boards were excellent, the wine was great, and our party got amazing service from Cathy and Tiffany! Will absolutely come back!

We had a wonderful experience at Barboursville Vineyard. We loved all the wines and especially hanging out with our wine guide, Bruce. We look forward to coming back for another pleasurable experience!

We unfortunately had a very disappointing experience a Barboursville. We came here with a group of 9 on a girls trip. Prior to visiting we made a reservation for a private tasting in the library. The restaurant and grounds were absolutely beautiful and the wine was very good. However, we were treated very poorly by the staff. We paid for a private tasting in the library, and no one offered to guide us through the wines. when we attempted to order additional wine following the tasting, we were discouraged from ordering by our server. The staff was quite rude to us and treated us as if we were being very annoying despite the fact we spent almost $800 on food and alcohol and were one of the only tables in the restaurant. We were very disappointed as the winery came very highly recommended but this was not the case for us. I chose not to purchase wine to take home because I did not feel I should support the winery based on our poor experience. I would not recommend coming here with a larger group or bachelorette party.

We participated in Corks and Caps since we had family visiting from the UK for a few weeks and wanted to show them what Orange has to offer. Upon arriving, we were enchanted by the gorgeous landscape, above and beyond service, delectable food and wine. Cathy and Tiffany took amazing care of us. We enjoyed a meat and cheese board, caprese salad, and a peach and blueberry salad. The wine flights were also incredible and we will definitely be back.

I would say this is the BEST Vineyard in Virginia. Prices per bottle range from $17 up...well worth every penny. The wine selection is amazing and each has a vibrant taste. The scenery around the vineyard is beautiful. The staff was wonderful. I will be going back in a few weeks to do a photo spread. The Viognier and Rose' top contenders. My friend purchased several bottles of Merlot Reserve, I opted for a bottle of Viognier to go. I can not wait to return.
