Looking for a decent family fine dine place then look no further. Basil leaf, located in hotel golden plateau has an unique experience to share with its guests. The place is really well designed. Food was really nice. For starters we tried their chicken dumplings. They were really tasty and well stuffed. For mains we tried their butter chicken and their signature cafreal biryani. Their butter chicken was really thick and creamy and paired really nicely with butter garlic naan. Cafreal biryani was something unique. We ended things with a plate of nice hot Gulab Jamun. Overall a really nice experience
A wonderful restaurant in a convenient location in Porvorim, The Basil Leaf serves up delectable Indian, Goan and Oriental Food in an elegant family friendly setting. I sampled one starter from each of the cuisine offerings Steamed Dumplings (Oriental), Batter Fried Calamari (Goan) and Tangdi Kebab (Indian). The steamed dumplings were okay, they could have been presented better. The Calamari was wonderfully light and crispy... generous portion, too. I really enjoyed the succulent Tangdi kebab and therefore opted for an Indian main course too.I'd highly recommend the Murgh Musallam... it is a lavish treat for chicken lovers, Paired with butter garlic naan, you can't go wrong! Mocktails definitely need improvement. Will visit again to try out more of the Oriental offerings as many of the items on the menu looked really tempting.
Must visit place for amazing food. Had a great time and enjoyed every bit of the meal.
