Doyle's Pour House - Barnegat

I had ordered a salad with chicken breast. The salad was one the worst ones I ever had. They used tomatoes that were so thinly sliced (for sandwiches) some thin sliced onions a few olives. The dressing had no taste. It was a balsamic vinegar one.. then the chicken was so over cooked it was like eating cardboard. I couldn’t say nothing bc I had a customer with me. I will never eat there again. I wouldn’t feed that chicken to my dogs it was so bad. I think my dogs would turn away from it lol no kidding. I ate in the restaurant.

This was a fun stop and a pleasant surprise as we picked it because it was convenient. It is a bar and restaurants. They have a nice whisky collection. The interior is large and spacious. Dark wood reminiscent of Irish pubs. The food is great especially the wings. Get the ones grilled after they are fried, amazing. The pretzel is delicious and served with Guinness Cheese sauce. Our server was attentive and sweet. Not a large choice for tap beers. Parking is plentiful and free. Prices are very fair for the quality. There are outdoor picnic tables. Such a great stop!

Stopped here late, around 930 pm. They serve food until 12 which is awesome! We were unsure of what it would be like but we were pleasantly surprised. The mango habanero wings were bomb along with the newer steak sandwich I forgot the name) . Friday night bartender was super on point and friendly. I would stop again on the way through.I highly recommend!

I’ve been to Doyle’s in tuckerton several times. It’s always been great. Last night, we went to the one in Barnegat for wings. The service was not great. The server did not smile one single time and seemed like every table was a bother to her. My wings were over cooked and hard. Honest mistake. They were left in fryer too long. Could have been easy to throw on another batch. She didn’t check on us though. So, I didn’t get the opportunity to ask for a re-fire. She wasn’t busy. I could see her talking to coworkers and eating her own food. I watched her walk up to another table chewing food still while taking an order. She only came up to us 20 minutes after our food was dropped. The place is nice, and my boyfriends wings came out just fine. The rest of our food was ok. Nothing special but it was just fried stuff. Actually loved the wing sauce I got. The other servers in the restaurant seemed to be better actually smiling and engaging with their customers. Just not the one we had.

The wings are tremendous! Back of the he grill! Service is always friendly and fast! Atmosphere is great. The menu has many options and we haven't found a bad one yet! French onion soup is delicious!
