New Curry Centre - Barnet

The service at the restaurant was good and we enjoyed our dinner. There were plenty of options on the menu to choose from. We started with a chicken chat and a king prawn puree, but I found the filling to be too small for the size of the bread. The Diet Coke we ordered was flat, otherwise it would have been a perfect meal. I had a chicken balti while my husband opted for a meat Thali, which included a variety of dishes like meat bhuna, vegetable curry, rice, tikka, and other items, similar to a meze platter.

We decided to order Indian takeout from The New Curry Centre. My wife had been there before with a friend and had praised the food, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The Sheela kebab and Saag lacked flavor, and the Karai chicken I ordered tasted sweet instead of spicy as I had requested. I called the restaurant to provide feedback, but was told that the dishes were up to their usual standard. I was offered to have the dishes remade, but it was too late to eat by that point. Overall, we were not impressed with the lack of consistency in the dishes and will not be returning to The New Curry Centre in the future.

I went to this restaurant with a friend before heading out for drinks. Unfortunately, the meal we had was not up to par. I ordered the narga curry, which was supposed to be hot, but it lacked flavor and spice. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he offered to make it hotter instead of addressing the issue with the dish itself. The prawn puri was also disappointing as it was more like a small flat bread rather than the light and crispy puri I was expecting. Overall, it seems like many restaurants these days do not care about the quality of their food or customer satisfaction. It's a shame that many old family-run restaurants have closed down and been replaced by new places that serve subpar dishes. The extensive menu also makes me question the freshness of the food, as it seems like a lot of pre-made sauces are used rather than cooking everything fresh. It's a shame that some places are more focused on making money rather than providing a true culinary experience.

Bad bad bad, the waiters were rude the food was bland and the atmosphere from the staff was cold. Do not dine here you will be wasting your money very disappointed worse place I have ever eaten.
