Bidra med feedbackMy friend and I made a reservation at this restaurant, only to discover upon arrival that they do not accept credit cards. We were unable to dine there as a result. It's time for this place to join the 21st century - most establishments now accept credit cards as a standard form of payment.
Below average, doesn't even rank among the top 5 curry restaurants in Barnsley. The staff are lovely, but the restaurant is tacky and the curry is subpar - even a takeaway in foil would be more satisfying on a Saturday night.
This restaurant is fantastic! We have been dining at Spice of India for several years and still believe it is one of the best Indian restaurants. The customer service is exceptional and the staff is exceptionally friendly. Even my 7-year-old daughter, who is still getting used to Indian food, has been accommodated by the chef and staff who have gone out of their way to customize the menu for her. Our drinks are always promptly refilled and the prices are very competitive. The restaurant used to be a pub, so the cellar is great for refreshing drinks. The Kingfisher beer is the best I've ever tasted and my wife says the Cobra beer is exceptional as well. The restaurant offers a great variety of dishes 3 or 4 times a week.
