Bidra med feedbackWe tried a few different pies; steak onion, chicken leek, curry chicken. All were tasty and the flavours balanced well, indeed the curry wasn 't overwhelming at all. Good balance.Pro:Pleasant enough little tea room to sit and chat. Service was nice and without obsequiousness or arrogance common in British shops and tea rooms. That is such a turn off.Pies are indeed tasty. Flaky top was perfect.Con:Pies a bit oddly made with no bottom pie crust, but fillings are tasty. Thickening the filling, so that it isn 't all 'soupy ' after warming would be great, as the lack in consistency, combined with no pie shell was a bit odd.Note:The only other thing that would be nice to see if some way to identify what pie is what. With the flaky top, it was impossible to figure out what is what, so we warmed them all up at once.
Absolutely amazing! I suggest the Sheppard's pie, BLT and Bangers!
We went yesterday for the High Tea and it was so fantastic. So much food that I brought half home for my husband. It was such a lovely experience. Looking forward to going again. I’m also planning on taking my husband there for fish and chips with mushy peas.
We ordered high tea for our at home Coronation party. Our food was delicious! Care was taken to make sure nothing got smashed together during transportation to our home. Crusts were cutoff and the quiches tasted like gramma used to make! I highly recommend them for dine in or take out!!!
It is very reasonable for afternoon tea, however in my opinion you pay for what you get. Unfortunately, it was not for us. Sausage rolls very excellent and the scones were big and tasty. The rest was not so great. The crust of the quiche was cold, the bread on the little sandwiches was a bit dry. The desserts were a real disappointment. Everything was full of sugar and icing and sort of tasted the same. There is a lot of food and you can take it home if you like.
