Nando's - Barrie

This is basically a self serve restaurant. They only bring you out the food, nothing else.We ordered the "warm pita with red pepper spread". They bring out a bowl of ice cold pita cut into 1/2 pieces! When we asked why they did that, they said that the chef was in training. The chicken came out and it looked like it had been sitting around for a few hours. The salad was wilted. When you sit down by the window, it's impossible not to bang your head on the low hanging light fixtures. This place is not the place to eat. We were there at lunch hour but with few other customers so the long wait we had for simple pre-prepared dishes was not appreciated. There were plenty of staff so not sure what was going on. The entrance floor is in need of a good cleaning and the table was sticky so that didn't add to our comfort either. We were fans of this chain when we lived in Richmond Hill but the food was freshly prepared and not as dried out there so the fact the servings were small may have been a blessing...Doubt we'll be back.

Introduced to Nando's in Toronto so we were excited when it arrived in Barrie. Something bad always happens though when we visit this location. From no Caesar dressing in a Caesar wrap, a chicken bone in a pita, to the food delivery at the table ending in permanent stains to clothing because the server spilled onto my partner's shirt and pants. No apology anytime issues happened. Still waiting for a completely positive experience. But seriously can there be more training on making a pita so that there isn't a wall of chicken and a wall of lettuce? I'd like to enjoy both in a single bite.If only the chicken and garlic mashed potatoes weren't so delicious!

I just recently visited the Nando's in Barrie for the first time. We had visited another location quite a few years ago and we were excited to visit again. We ordered our food and we waited a while and we started getting frustrated. Finally, 40 minutes later our food arrived. We were very unhappy with the wait for such a tiny serving. The food was delicious but we wished there was more of it. We probably won't return any time soon because of the wait. This was only an average experience.

Went here for mother's day. Place is self serve. Nice clean place with friendly staff. Food is nice and spicy. With a yummy frozen yogurt machine.
