Bidra med feedbackPicked from the CAMRA guide as a stop for food and beer travelling north on the A1.. The pub is a short hop from the main road. Very easy to find. The Hart is a welcoming and unpretentious local with a good car park. 3 real ales on offer to accompany food from an extensive menu. We chose the 'hot ' burger and sea food linguine. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and the portions hearty. Great value for money. The beer quality was outstanding and the wine reasonably priced. What a good choice! We went on our way replete and very happy.
I can honestly say we had the most amazing meal, the staff were so friendly. They deserve to be praised. Well done
A friend recommended The Red Hart, as I needed a place for lunch midway between our home and those we were meeting. This was absolutely perfect. 2 minutes off the A1 and easy to park. Being a Sunday, there were 3 roast options plus the full usual menu and Specials. I had the Lambs Liver Bacon sauté, which was delicious. Two of our party chose Lasagne, one a burger and one the Roast beef. All were extremely good, very generous portions and with plenty of accompaniments. Sadly, we had no room to try desserts! Although a very hot day, presumably because it’s an old, solid building it was cool and comfortable inside and we were happy with our table. There seem to be several eating areas, so we never felt cramped. There’s a decent beer garden outside too. The staff were friendly. We highly recommend The Red Hart and will certainly return.
Where do I start,I decided to come to the red hart to meet up with friends for good drinks,we had kids with us so we needed a child friendly place which the red hart certainly is,we had pre booked a table which was a good thing as it was quite busy, not a surprise though as the food is amazing, our table had different meals on the menu I can honestly say every meal which came put was amazing, the pie I was told was amazing, everything is homemade down to the chips,it all was delicious, all the children had dessert I was told the pancakes were amazing, this is a place I can 1000% recommend especially if you like everything homemade, this is a gem of a place if you are passing through Blyth I’d definitely recommend a visit, absolutely great food we will certainly be back soon
We have just returned from our first visit to this restaurant and found it to be excellent. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I had what was possibly the best burger I have ever had! My partner had the assiette of fish from the specials which she also enjoyed. She happens to be gluten-intolerant and was very impressed with the range of gluten-free dishes on offer. The staff were also very friendly. We will definitely be going back to this restaurant again.
