Billy's Pit Bbq - Bastrop

This remains one of my favorite BBQ places. I've been going there for over ten years, and the quality has consistently been excellent.

I've ordered from here twice, and both times the experience was a bit inconsistent. It could have just been off days for them, so I understand that things happen.

Had the two meat plate with brisket and sausage Mac and Cheese and potato salad. The sausage was a little dry, but the brisket was the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Came here with my 2 kids and 2 outta 3 of us heavily recommend the brisket.

I've been here about four times now. I shouldn't eat this food for health reasons, but I now set it as my cheat day meal. Food is delicious. It's a family, friendly environment. The prices are fair. I look forward to my next cheat day. They give a veterans discount.

Don't overlook this restaurant; the barbecue was outstanding! Expect a church crowd to arrive around noon.
