The ambience was great, however the food was not superior. I would say it was good.
We visited for my birthday dinner, I was greeted with a Happy Birthday and was then seated by our waitress not only greeting me the same way but by my name also. She made us more than comfortable and was very available.
Our waiter Evan was fantastic. We haven’t been in a while and we’re a bit nervous about the new ownership. However the food was still the same excellent fare that we were used to at Ruth’s. My husband had steak and I had crabcakes. They were both very good, above average. We had calamari for an appetizer and it did not disappoint. Finally they brought out blueberry cheesecake for a celebration of my husbands birthday. It was magical.
Ruth's Chris Steak House in Baton Rouge is a memorable experience for anyone looking for a steak prepared to overwhelm the mouth.
