Restaurant Les Cavalets - Bauduen

Had 1 dinner, good food, good wine list. the best of dinner is the view over the lake with a wonderful sunset. parking space available. make sure to book and try to get table outside with 1st row view over the lake.

We eat here quite regularly when in France. Last night for Sunday dinner and it was okay. my wife had a dessert of cream brulee (here favorit,) but it wasn't the best. on a more positive note were the fillet steaks that we had both cooked until perfection. Maybe it was just a bad day in the kitchen?

Beautiful hotel in this sweet village. we were for a night and can highly recommend this place. the personal is very nice and service thanked.

We have driven around this area for a few years. This time in June to see the lavander fields they did not disappoint. Fantastic sight and photo opportunity. Stopped at Les Cavalets for lunch. Fantastic view (best in the Gorge). Great service. Fresh water.. crevettes were on the menu. Very tasty. Good local wine list. Hotel has great view. Seemed busy. Would go back.

If a finer view exists over Lake St Croix, I don't know of it. 4 of us went for a perfect lunch this week. Attentive service along with amusing banter was delivered in full by our waiter after he first seated us on the terrace...overlooking the lake. Perfect weather helped. We opted for the 19.5 euro menu and were absolutely delighted by the choice, quality and presentation of the food. A really lovely touch with the salmon fishcake was that it was served as a cake. It looked like a muffin, but was packed with salmon flakes and was really tasty. The steaks were very flavoursome and the trout gorgeous and fresh. Our lunch was taken over about 2 1/2 hours and along with aperitif's, 2 litres of good house rose and coffees came to less than 130 euros. Even very affordable. We've eaten here 3 times now, but this was the best and I am looking forward to our next visit, which will sadly not be until our next holiday
