Tacos Las Maria’s - Bay City

The tacos at this restaurant are delicious and reasonably priced. However, they should consider updating their menu and displaying their closing hours more prominently, as it can be disappointing to arrive and find them closed when craving their tasty tacos.

I was really impressed with the carne guisada at this restaurant, it's some of the best I've ever had (and I'm from South Texas).

I think this restaurant needs to update their menu. When I asked the person taking my order about their options, I felt like I was annoying them. They no longer have tamales on their menu. The drive-thru menu only shows quesadillas and tortas, but they also have tacos available that are not listed. You have to specify if you want a corn shell or a soft flour tortilla for your taco. I ordered a quesadilla, which was different than I expected - it was rolled up like a taco with the white cheese settled at the bottom. I didn't like the chicken fajita filling. The beef taco I ordered also had the beef fajitas and unmelted yellow cheese. However, the standout dish was the chicharrón taco on a soft flour tortilla - it was well seasoned and spicy, and didn't need any sauce. I was pleasantly surprised by this dish.
