Bidra med feedbackWe recently stayed at this restaurant before my daughter's wedding at the neighboring winery. The rooms have been recently renovated and are very cozy. The staff is welcoming and makes you feel right at home.
My husband had the parma and in the 15 years we have been together has never sent a meal back. He sent his parma back, it was so dry that it was hard to chew. The new one was a little better but still not enjoyable to eat. Tasted like they pre cook thr Schnitzel and flash fry it. Kids meal came out with the mains even though we also ordered an entree. Gave us two free drinks but sorry we won't be back.
I decided to give this pub another chance after a disappointing meal and service a few years ago. It was recommended by someone recently and we were highly impressed. They had a great selection of delicious and well-presented meals, all of generous size. The prices were reasonable and we were so full that we had no room for dessert. The service had improved somewhat with new staff in training.
Had a great meal with my wife at the Pine Grove Hotel. We both had pizza and they were lovely the staff were very efficient and looked after us will be back again.
The first thing you notice when seated is the over sized paper lining the table. I thought we were going to get coloured pencils to start drawing! Wanting a drink, we went to the bar only to be told to sit down as the waitress would serve us... The boys liked their steak and chicken parma, and the vegetarian gnocchi was ok. The crab pasta looked, smelt and tasted horrible the menu said angel hair pasta but when it arrived it was black, squid ink pasta which made the whole dish overpowered. The caprese salad was a bowl of chopped up tomatoes with a lump of questionable cheese in the middle not the pretty, layered tomato, cheese, basil plate you'd expect. Both guests reordered a pizza so they could eat (which were good). The owner was very gracious with our feedback and we appreciated her listening about the crab pasta. So depending on what you order, you'll love or not so love this venue (which is a lovely spot btw).
