Zedz Fish & Chips - Beaconsfield Upper

I don't bother with the more expensive fish and chips in Fremantle these days unless we have visitors, as I just get my fish and chips from Zedz instead. I had three kids to feed and I just get them the kids fish and chips for $5 (I think this has gone up recently to $5.50 or so). This is great value, as the fish is quite large, and in fact it's big enough for an adult. If I don't feel like spending more, I just get a kids size fish and chips myself. $20 to feed a family of four is unheard of these days, especially when it comes to fish and chips.The only reason I'm giving it four instead of five stars is the chips could be vastly improved if they used another brand of chips. The ones they use are a bit on the powdery side, but for the price, I cannot complain. Would I instead pay $60 for better chips, but otherwise the same thing? No way!The staff are very efficient and nice kids. Very busy sometimes (eg Friday), so you might want to phone your order in as it sometimes takes 20-30mins during busy nights.

Always choose to go here rather than the other chippys around Fremantle, is always good food and has never let us down, is much better than the rest and and always very tasty!

We have tried the fish and chips at this restaurant three times since they reopened. It is excellent value and the best fish and chips I have had in a long time. We tried the fish grilled and battered, and both were delicious.

Zed's has reopened after three years and is even better than before. I had the fish and chips today and it was delicious.

The only reason I'm giving them four stars instead of five is because the chips could be better if they used a different brand.
