Let's start with the most important in a restaurant: the food. The menu has 2 aspects: a table d'hote and tapas. Since we love tapas the choice was evident. We ordered 7 tapas ranging from bacon shrimp to tuna tataki and they were all delicious. Portions were perfect and the price was reasonable. This is a licensed restaurant and the wine list was nice and prices were also reasonable. Gabrielle, our fully bilingual waitress, provided great service and every staff we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is located in an old house which was renovated. The ground floor where the bar is located is now all open space. The second floor still has several rooms which is great for groups or romantic atmosphere. On the second floor, the original ceiling and mouldings were kept and restored (on the other hand windows are new so no unpleasant draft). The restaurant just moved in there so they are still working on the decor but it certainly has charm. There is a small municipal parking just west of the restaurant. In summary, we loved it and we will go back as there are several tapas that we did not try on this first visit.
Classic french bistroThe space and food is reminiscent of any bustling street side restaurant in Paris.
We're so glad that we made our way to dine here on our last night in MontrealThe restaurant is small and had a French bistro feel, very cute.
This is one of the most acclaimed french bistros in Montreal and it looks like one has walked into one of the bistros in 1980s.
