So may vendors, lots of organic options which I loved. It was more food, than crafts, another thing I loved....Sometimes farmers markets can turn into craft fairs. Great place to visit. Right across from the market is a big open grass space we sat in the shade and ate some of the fruit we bought. Nice weekend afternoon. Not dog friendly, but they do have an area with dog where dogs can hang out and be watched in a little fenced in area of their own.
Our family has fun supporting local businesses and trying out new foods/products. Also, getting fresh produce direct from the source is a plus. There’s a water feature and playground for kids to stay entertained. The place does get crowded and you’ll have to find street parking. Keep in mind no dogs are allowed in the farmers market but they do have an area where your dog can be kept.
Beaverton's Farmers Market is the largest in Oregon, or so I hear. They have a great array of foods, goodies, and fun. I love getting a basket of blueberries and sitting and listening to the live band. It's a great place to meet and talk to the locals. There is such great diversity, which makes the world go-round. I'll be back! The BBQ is out-of-this-world!
I attended over Memorial Day Weekend, and I'll admit that I was a little overwhelmed at first. The other patrons were extremely disorganized and annoying, lines were jumbled and ambiguous, and it just was unnecessarily chaotic. Patrons with children and strollers were the absolute worst, especially since I witnessed them push their strollers into the legs of other people just trying to walk a straight line.I stuck with it, and around 11:30 12:00, the lines died down enough to actually shop without waiting a lifetime just to browse inventory. The vendors were fantastic. No complaints whatsoever. There were so many things to try and look at, and that's what really made the experience. Every single vendor took time to talk whether I bought anything or not, and that was most memorable. I ended up spending over $200 throughout my visit. The only reason I'm giving 4 s is because the other patrons were on their trash behavior as they usually are around Beaverton these days.My best advice is to go towards the end if you don't want to put up with large crowds in a small area. You can catch a lot of vendors right before they close, and some even take their time packing up, because they know not all of their customers show up early due to the crowds.Special shout out to the honey stand. That CBD honey is EFFECTIVE!
