Bidra med feedbackI was lost once, but now I'm found. Everyone who plays regularly usually has what I call his or her home bar. Somewhere you can chill after a long week at work, catch the game on the bigscreen, a few good food, laughter and swap war stories of recent events both in the world on the great and in personal diversity. A place where everyone knows his name, his employees and regulars is really happy to see you. Your favorite drink is not only known, but it is there waiting for you at your favorite Bartool just a few seconds before you park on it. Toadies has become my cheers for some reasons, not least is the fantastic staff that makes you feel at home. Flashback: So I sit in Duke 's in Bedford a few years ago at the bar with a conversation with a guy I just met and during the discussion about the bar staff there I notice you if I could only find a beautiful Asian bartender who had fun talking to my life would be complete. The guy says you need to see Whitney on the Toadies highway. They won't be disappointed. So I have made a mental comment on this information gap and we have discussed other issues. Now I had driven tons of times from Toadies, but never harassed to stop. It always seemed to have some cars. So a few months by, I stopped by and saw some times in the window during this time, but never saw anyone working there through this description so I didn't go in. Then I decided on a Friday night to board and commit myself to checking the place for a few hours. The rest is history. So, this enjoyable night I sneak in Toadies and sneak down on a bar stool around the middle of the right side of the bar. Within seconds, this stunningly beautiful young Asian woman goes to me and introduces herself as Whitney and asks me what I want. I'll tell her the story about the guy I met in Duke's a few months back and she laughs. I told her my search was over. I told her what I drank and never had to mention it again. I was surprised to learn over time that Whitney leads the place quite simply handedly on a daily basis. She's pretty dynamo. I'm something from a world class bartender. Whitney is funny, intelligent, hard working, beautiful and an ingenious bartender with an incredible memory of names and customers and she runs a tight ship. She treats every situation with intelligence charm and grace. What is not to like? I have a good number of servers and bartenders from other places in the area often Toadies later in the evening after work. As far as the Toadies themselves are concerned, it is not a huge spatula square, but large enough with 10-12 stands along the wall and 15-20 tables in the central headquarters area. The bar is L shaped and is likely to sit around 20-25 customers with a very large flat screen over the longer section of the bar, which can be seen anywhere and a smaller flatscreen 40-50 in the corner behind the bar, where the servers pick up their drinks. Various medium-sized flatscreens are scattered everywhere with single small flatscreens installed in all stands, so you can see something different than what is on the big main screens or even play poker/trivia games or what not if you are in all sports. There is also a fairly large lounge area with leather sofa seats right from the bar near the side entrance, which is beautiful, in sometimes especially if you have half a dozen or more people. There are also half a dozen or so tables outside with medium-sized flat screens out there. Space is absolutely rocking for all UFC fights and they do not calculate a cover. As already mentioned, Whitney is an amazing lady, but the rest of the staff is also fantastic. The servers on the ground are all very attractive. Their uniforms are a schoolgirl theme, but are tasteful and not too over the top or in your face, as you see in a lot of boobs (such as Hooters, Twin Peaks, etc... . Very nice outfits in my opinion. Even if you are not served at their table, they always make time to stop you a bit and chat with a smile or a funny story that is something I sometimes lacked in other places in the area I have been to. I guess I'll go through the servers in alphabetical order. Amber is the sweetest at all and not surprised if she makes a step or two spontaneous when a good song comes. Oh, they have a large electronic jukebox with a huge music library for decades. Since I've been for over a few decades that's pretty handy. You can pay an additional loan to have played your song next, which I often do when I feel beaten down by the music someone else has played. Cay is an absolute doll and always has a great story for me or asks me about something. Lennon (yes, as the Beatle has the sweetest personality ever. Pretty girl. Paige is the free spirit and the most mischievous of the lot. She would have been the stunning hippie **** the day. Great personality. Nastassia has this exotic lithe model look thing going on and is also very artistic. I like to observe how she pulls things and writes the daily specialties on the Toadies Blackboard thing. She's really good. I have a good art degree, so I should know. I heard they just hired someone, but I haven't met them yet. It seemed really sweet, but that's not surprising me. I can only get over there any other weekend to hang. The other bartenders are all. The best guys and everyone. Probably the most crowded pile. I think the ladies dig him. Just a theory that makes me something. Jesse works a lot of day shifts, so I don't see him as much as most other guys. Jesse loves him some Texas Rangers. Very common that Jesse. Jimmie is the MAN! Great personality and always has a hot sport opinion, political opinion, relationship opinion... They call it. Great guy who chew the fat about the problems of the day. Funny guy and very passionate about what he thinks. Then there's Drew the barback standing behind the bar and taking everything inside. Really nice. Whitney and her posse of bartenders can do anything you can dream. Many exotic shots made in this place. Some nights they turn bottles and glasses around like Tom Cruise in the movie cocktail. I usually prefer to move near the beverage station where I can see the bartenders in action. Drink specialities are great. House design beer is $2.00 every day I'm pretty sure. Almost half of what a beer brings you back to Hooters. Tuesday is $2.00 U-Call It is all night long (although I usually only stick to my beer so I can hang longer). You make $2.00 U-Call It is also on Friday, but by 8:00 I think. What shots Tequila shots, sex with a toad (can not remember what in this... Yaeger and some green I think and Lemon Drop shots are every day for $3.25 from what the Specials Blackboard says. $2,50 wells every day, if I'm not mistaken. Okay, let's have dinner. Sure it's bar food, but it's fucking GOOD bar food. You have big chefs there. I order every time I go. Later I have torn the boiled cancer since it is in the season. I'm from Louisiana, so I love myself. I love their Irish nachos. These are thick sliced potatoes with melted cheese and bacon. These are killers. You can also put them on beef or chicken if you want, but I usually go only with the basic offer. The brisket tacos are their official specialty and I order them very often. You've called these pretty cool things Hähnchen-Twists I haven't seen anywhere else as I like. You have pizza, great burgers, pommes, grilled chicken and also a fantastic striped steak that is not on the menu, but was told that I order more often than not with a baked potato and carbon beans. I love those damn coal beans with the Jalepenos. There are many other things, but that's what I order the majority of time. Another big thing (for me about Toadies is that it is open on all major holidays (also Christmas). Divorce I often have not my children on this or that holiday, so it means a lot to spend the holiday with my 2nd family there at Toadies. I can't believe I've waited so long to check this place. It was under my nose all the time. If you are looking for more than just another random sports bar and want to go a place where everyone knows your name, then you don't have to look further.
Lost in Bedford. I had to go to work in the Mid Cities and had an hour to kill and find Toadies. In the middle of the afternoon and was empty, but bartender, Whitney?, was friendly and recomended the brisket tacos and man I was connected, they did not suck a toadies in Dallas, really nice little place.
Fantastic spot! It doesn't get better for a neighborhood bar! It's very clean, the staff is wonderful, and the food is delicious. Plus, there are drink specials! It's a cozy place for everyone. I had the honeymoon chicken sandwich and it was amazing—those rolls were to die for! Can't wait to come back soon!
I visited Toadie's for the first time last night and had read a mix of reviews beforehand, but I was hopeful it would be decent. The sports bar and grill is equipped with numerous TVs, so you never have to turn your head to catch any action. There’s also a lounge area with very comfortable chairs and ottomans, perfect for relaxing after a meal. While there aren’t any TVs in the lounge, it would be a nice addition to keep up with marquee sports events. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I ordered a side salad with honey mustard dressing, queso with chips, and their signature brisket tacos. The side salad was generously portioned, and the dressing was tasty. I had asked the waitress to hold the cucumbers, which she forgot, but it wasn’t a big deal. The queso with ground beef was enjoyable—I had previously tried some at another restaurant along the highway and it was terrible, so it was a relief to find Toadie's queso met my expectations, especially in an area that prides itself on good Tex-Mex. The portion of chips that accompanied the queso and salsa was quite healthy. The brisket tacos were delightful, though the presentation wasn’t particularly impressive. This is just a minor detail since taste is what truly matters. The dish consisted of two flour tortillas filled with a decent amount of brisket and shredded cheese, accompanied by pico de gallo, sliced avocados, BBQ sauce, and salsa. I added the pico, avocado, and BBQ sauce to the first taco, and the same plus salsa to the second. Both were delicious, and the combination of all the sides enhanced the overall experience. It’s no wonder this is considered their signature dish—it truly is good. The beans served with the tacos were flavorful, albeit a little salty, but not overwhelmingly so. I ordered two drinks, which were a bit weaker than I would have liked, but they were still satisfactory. The waitress provided good service, checking on us regularly. Overall, I had a great experience at Toadie’s. The food exceeded my expectations for bar fare, the service was commendable, and there were plenty of TVs (not counting the lounge area) along with clean restrooms. I’ll definitely be back!
Wonderful spot for a drink! I've been a regular at Toadies for about two years now, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable yet enjoyable drink. The food is surprisingly good for bar fare—always served hot and satisfying. The staff are friendly and a joy to be around. The bartenders go out of their way to make you feel welcome and ensure your drinks keep flowing. They offer $2 domestic drafts, and Shiner Bock is considered domestic there. You can also enjoy $2.50 well drinks and $3.25 house shots. On Tuesdays, it's $2 for any call drink all day, and Fridays feature happy hour pricing of the same.
