Kababji - Beirut

We were attracted by the famous reputation of kababji for grilled tender meat and tasty lebanese mezze as we happened to be in achrafieh. Its the same taste alright but in general the seating and atmosphere are not as impressive as the jal el dib or jounieh branch. I guess its good for a quick tasty sandwich for nearby university students.

Tasty food in general. I like all kinds of kafta and meats but not so fond of their tawook especially the tawook sandwiches as they're full of garlic sauce and oil. Otherwise I have no other complaints. Thumbs up for this place.

This place is one when my childhood memories. Amazing mezzanine and grills especially the tattoo and lame. So tender and juicy. Friendly staff and fast service.

It is one of my favorite Lebanese restaurants in Beirut. (probably alongside Le Chef). All the food I get there is amazing. It's well cooked, healthy and so clean I have the courage to order Raw meets from them. Never had a bad experience. It's as good for sandwiches as for regular dishes. The price is totally fair. I find it a lot better to order from Kababji than to eat in the overpriced, fancy, mezze restaurants that you have all over Beirut, where you get almost exactly the same food for double or triple the price. I recommend especially the skewers (all of them), the Hendbeh, the Balila Pine nuts and the Kebbeh Nayeh lebanese. Oh and this Achrafieh Branch is actually pretty ok to have dinner. It's not beautiful and you feel like you are in a fast food even though the food is of high quality, which you won't find in fast foods anywhere.
