Bidra med feedbackCame across this by chance as we were walking around the old town Albuferia. Soup Vegetable and fish were both hot and tasty. My husband tried spaghetti carbonara without knowing what he was going to get and he said it was ok , was hoping for Parmesan grated at the table but it came out of a shaker. Now ,me, I had chefs special which was a chicken curry with rice and had a portion of vegetables which consisted of cauliflower green beans and carrots. All cooked well and tasty. Been to other restaurants and it just seems to be chips and salad. So a refreshing change to have well cooked tasty veg. So thank you to the restaurant for a lovely meal. Staff polite and friendly on arrival and whilst we were there. Oo and toilets were spotless ladies, spotlessly clean.
Good Alentejan food, friendly service, popular with locals and very reasonably priced. Although the specific dish I wanted was not on the menu, the ingredients were present in the dishes on the menu. So I asked if the pork Alentejo with clams was available. A smile and the order was in! Delicious as was the house wine and dessert. Highly recommended for good traditional food and a warm welcome.
Came here for Sunday lunch, only place could find was open. It was packed. Clearly where you take the family for Sunday lunch. It was great. Had an excellent rice and seafood dish, with some quaffable white win and a local dessert. Service was fast and friendly. I recommend it. Not 5 stars by any means but a pleasant meal in very welcoming place
The restaurant is well located in the center of Beja. Food was good, Cabidela rice was very good and tasteful, the amount served was more than we could eat. Service was fast and staff was very helpful.
Was pleasantly surprised. For lunch, we got a flat steak and fries, the type of steak that is usually tough and tasteless. This one was tender and had a delicious savory earthy flavor. The grilled pork was also very delicious.
