Sam's Place - Belleville

Great local spot. Breakfast is great but dinner options are just okay

Waitress was very rude, impatient food was nasty definitely not worth 55.85 plus a 5.00 tip being nice

Went there for lunch on a Saturday. Had to wait to be acknowledged. Owner chatting at counter finally noticed. Motioned for someone in back to come to our table. Received drinks, but once again, waiting for our server. Once they did come to take our order, we noticed she was the same person that passed our table a few times previously. The server was not personable. Once we received our food, the server placed our bill on the table with our food and never asked if we needed anything else. She never came back to our table, except to remove our plates. Once again, never asked if we wanted refill on our drinks, or dessert or anything else. Food was average. Was our first time there and last time. Very odd vibe in that place.

I like it only cause its my Moms go to place most older customers all know her. They serve alcohol now if ya didnt know. Miss the specials and soups aren't the same had fish used to be my favorite just didn't seem the same and we've been going here almost 50 years girl short changed us and other waitress was a little rude over me correcting her Math... Always loved the mini breakfast special cheap but Good

So, I placed an order by phone. I arrived and the employee proceed my invoice, but it was incorrect. I questioned it and she told me I was wrong. I once again attempted to correct her, and she was short with me. So, I stated I would pay. She outlined my bill and there was an additional item, which I never requested. She then took my meal to the kitchen and removed the item. My invoice was correct!. I returned home and I am missing my toss salad, and dressing. My dinner role was hard as a brick, similar to a baseball!!. I called the following morning, spoke with an employee who noted there was issues with this employee!. She took my name and explained the owner SAM would be in that afternoon. At the same time of this event there was an employee from the kitchen in the lobby playing the games in the entrance of the restaurant!!!!!. Owner never called, no apology, and missing dinner items were never provided, SAD!, maybe change the name from Sam 's to SAD ...
