Bidra med feedbackStopped in for dinner. Butter chicken was too sweet for mu taste. Butter nan was good Paneer Pakora was ok. Good size portion However when pay the bill time came, the young lady kindly insisted I use tap . I don 't have tap ??? What to do. Pay cash nope don 't have cash. She utterly had no answer other than say we have only tap . Turns out they have swipe, chip and all forms of payment she just didn 't know how to use them??? Then, cant print receipt. Only email. Really? Turns out after a long conversation and her insistence I accept email you guessed it they can and do and did print the receipt. Again she didn 't know how??? This after a 20% tip and not a single word of apology for HER mistake !?! Lets hope they train on food safety better than check out.....ill know tonight Ok. So in all fairness to the staff, and my absolute love of spicy food I took some colleagues back for dinner a month later and the young lady did a great job, and clearly learned the payment system. Food was great and all enjoyed the nite. Upgraded to 3.5 stars. I need a 3rd datapoint I think...
Stopped on my way from Toronto to Ottawa for dinner and found this place through Yelp. It's at a mall and was a bit difficult to find. It's a small nice place with the appealing ambience. The food is very good especially the biryani, dal and paneer. The quality of rice offered is better than some of the Indian restaurant in Toronto it's also complimentary if you order a gravy dish. The staff was friendly and nice and the washrooms clean (could have been better). We were looking for some genuine food and it was a nice surprise to find it at this place. Go for it !
My wife and in-laws are Indian, so expectations are extremely high. Royal Haveli is among the best Indian we've ever had. Highly recommended.
Royal Haveli is always our go to. With lots of vegetarian and vegan options- it works perfectly for our whole family! The naan is perfect every time and the samosas are so good! We recommend to all our family and friends. Keep it up guys!
We ate dinner last night at Royal Haveli and left with full bellies and big smiles! We are big fans of Indian food, but find that we have to travel to larger cities to get the authentic flavors of true Indian food. Not any more... Belleville get ready for some amazing food in your own back yard. We had Chai Masala Tea, Rogan Josh (lamb), Beef Vindaloo, Chicken Korma, Saag (spinach) Paneer, Rice and Naan. Every dish was served in beautiful bowls or funky containers, looked absolutely beautiful and smelled divine. While that is all great, the big test of any restaurant is the flavour of their food and all I can say is fantastic. I am eating my leftovers as I write this review! Service is excellent; we were seated promptly, the staff is accommodating and so friendly. Extra thanks to our server, he was funny and had great suggestions. The owner came over to see how everything was his professionalism and personality must trickle down to the rest of the staff because they we all great. The restaurant is kinda tucked away by Bed Bath and Beyond... so when I say great hidden gem I mean it. However, this place with it 's delicious food and friendly service will not stay hidden long.
