Roy's - BERKELEY SPRINGS

The team at Roy's is top-notch. We were on our way back to Chicago from Annapolis, when the suspension on our Mercedes went out. Our car was undrivable, and we were stranded. It was Sunday afternoon, and no repair shops were open, but we were able to have the car towed to Roy's, in Berkley Springs. Monday morning, I met the Roy's crew as soon as they opened. They got the car in and found that an exhaust mount had failed and caused it to melt through the air lines for the suspension. Although he couldn't get the replacement parts for a proper repair, Jimmy managed to patch things back together and get us on the road. I was doubtful, but Jimmy reassured us we would be able to get home. 700 miles later, we pulled in to our garage. The whole Roy's crew was friendly, helpful, and professional.

Called Roys for a tire change because both of my right side rims were cracked. Scott showed up and did a terrific job and was very friendly and welcoming. Best hospitality I’ve experienced yet from a repair shop. He went above and beyond to get the job done. Being the fact that I had a lifted truck, it was a little bit difficult because I was stuck in a slanted area in the grass, but he definitely got the job done. He also gave lots of good car advice for other work on my truck performance wise . I will be stopping by Roy’s to get some work done on my truck soon.

Always great, personal service. Helpful and efficient at diagnosing the problem issue. Knowledgeable mechanics on staff. Helped me resolve issues as they arise. Nice little store with attached restaurant Good food at the restaurant, good snacks and bulk tobacco and supplies in the store. Lots of other goodies in the store. Gas station is awesome. Virgil and the staff are on the ball and offer full-service.

I had a flat tire, and AAA sent a tow truck from Roy's. The driver was fantastic—he inflated the tire, discovered a screw lodged in it, and then had me follow him to the shop. The staff there were really laid-back and took care of my tire by removing the screw and checking for any leaks. To my surprise, they didn’t even charge me for their help! As tourists, it's hard to know what kind of service to expect, especially from locals who know you're out of town. I highly recommend this shop!

Kenny was incredibly friendly and quickly identified that the terrible grinding sound was just a rock stuck in my tire. I was so relieved—it was a simple issue that was easy to fix. He kindly waited while I drove around the block to ensure the problem was resolved and that my brakes were functioning properly. He also checked that my tires were safe and my vehicle was in good shape. Additionally, when I mentioned that the only warning light on my dashboard was for low washer fluid, which I hadn't had a chance to refill yet, he offered to assist me with that before I hit the road again. Kenny's kindness and calm demeanor were just what I needed during that stressful time of worrying that I was stranded far from home for three hours! Thank you once again, Kenny!
