First of all I greet you all with honor and respect. May the former owner Ms. Mary RIP Rest in Power she had the best BBQ west of the Mississippi...WORD

This place is great, walkable and it is smokey and has big vibes. I have the pork ribs dinner with Mac and cheese and beans. It was delicious. Definitely back.

The brisket was good. But the sides not so much. Potato salad had a giant chunk of potato the macaroni was super dry. And the famous sauce wasn't popping like it used to.Food: 3/5

Sorry, but if you're white, you may not feel welcome here as I didn't here during my most recent visit to the Berkeley location. I have been going here for years, but recently, the additude has gotten real bad and should be called Whites aren't welcome, Barbeque... seriously. Try asking any simple questions or taking more than 2 seconds to order and you're told to go to the back of the line....If I did that at my business, I would be cancelled..

Wowwww. Perfect ribs that fell off the bone, with just enough char that you can really taste the smoke. Perfect blend of sweetness, brightness of acid, and heat that builds over time. One of the best meals I’ve had all year. Thank you!!!Food: 5/5
