Bidra med feedbackI had a wonderful experience at La Bedaine, where I enjoyed a delicious croissant along with a variety of traditional French boulangerie and patisserie offerings. They also have prepared meals that you can take home, heat up, and enjoy. Their selection includes tasty pâté and similar delicacies. While the sandwich options are somewhat limited, each one is excellent. For St. Patrick's Day (March 17, 2018), I savored a delicious, made-to-order grilled Reuben. The couple who runs La Bedaine is very friendly and always greets you warmly with a pleasant smile.
Authentic bread! They offer a variety of baguettes, croissants, and pastries, including tarts and quiches. Their lunch sandwiches are incredible, with daily changing options that never fail to impress. Be sure to grab them before they run out! Additionally, they have a selection of meticulously prepared, mostly French, ready-to-heat meals that are reasonably priced for those looking for a convenient take-home dinner. It's quite rare to find such high-quality bread, so don't miss this gem!
A charming little piece of France. The fruit tarts are exceptional, and the homemade breads rival the best in the Bay Area. The sandwiches, especially the grilled Reuben and the selection of pâtés, make for a delightful lunch. If I had to find a downside, I would say the croissants are only good, but apart from that, this place is truly a gem where you can't go wrong.
Their bread, their to-go French cuisine, their pastries, their seasonal preserves... all absolutely delicious. Alain provided food for out-of-town family gathering and the raves were on-going. Keep an eye out for the daughters selling their own muffins!
This charming little shop is what I dream of having in my neighborhood. It is part patisserie, part take-away bistro. Chef Alain opened Le Charm in SF and it was a wonderful bistro under his helm, and now he has moved to this postage stamp sized shop that is full of his goodies. You can get all manner of delicious pastry--I love the financiers, the carmelized tarte tatin, and the adorable fruit tartlets. The prices here are astonishly reasonable (as Le Charm was) for the expertly crafted pastry. For savory treats, the terrines are amazing, like the wild boar terrine with pistachios and the pâté de campagne are delicious on fresh crusty bread. They also make impressive host gifts when stopping by your friends' place for wine. They are vacuum sealed bistro meals ready to heat up at home. My favorite item there is their house smoked sausage. It is the juiciest, savory sausage you will every have. Their dungeness crab salad sandwiches on fresh baguette are delicious when in season. The service is lovely and I hear that they offer free pastry classes on the weekend. Street parking is fairly easy on this part of Solano.
