Bidra med feedbackSometimes we had to wait bit long, but it was always very tasty. Small cosy place, the owner is really nice.
Regularly visiting Sayuri for all occasions. Friendly and decent, excellent quality and a great deal. Simply good Sushi on Kurfürstendamm!
Food was delicious, as you can imagine from the name the restaurant is Japanese but managed by Chinese. Location is also good, a bit far of the heart of Ku'damm, but on a sunny day it actually can be nice to walk the from the restaurant to concentrated shopping area.
This restaurant was close to my hotel and being vegetarian sometimes Japanese food can be hit and miss. But I was very impressed by the vegetarian sushi platter I had. The vegetables were fresh, and the presentation was great. I enjoyed my meal and would recommend it to anyone.
This is a small restaurant tucked in on the Ku'damm, and it you aren't looking for it, it would be easy to miss. It seats only 20-some people and is totally unprepossessing with diner-type chairs, tables and benches. No tablecloths or pretensions here. We stayed nearby and so decided to try it out without high hopes as we are so often disappointed by Japanese restaurants in Europe. We ate here once and liked it so much that we came back twice during our 3 week stay in Berlin! It's hard to find a restaurant where the chef knows how to fry tempura, but the owner of this shop does it just right: crispy but not burned and never greasy. And when you order tempura moriawase, you get an amazing 5 fried prawns. I usually stay away from tempura as it's uncooked and greasy in most places, but I ordered it on all three visits. And surprising for a small neighborhood restaurant in Berlin, the sushi was fresh and the chef knows how to prepare it. My husband also liked the udon. The rice was good, the edamame were well cooked but still crispy. And I loved the Daifuku mochi for dessert (though it's spelled Daifuso here). There's no choice of sake, but that didn't matter because the one offered is so good, and heated to just the right temperature. The only thing missing? Pickles, but we aren't complaining. Caveat: there's only one chef so if you happened to arrive at a busy time, you might have to wait for your food. But we ate early and service was very friendly and efficient.I liked this far more than Daitokai and Kushinoya. Less atmosphere but far better food.
